As one of America’s leading commercial insurers, with 233 years of experience and industry-leading customer satisfaction, Chubb has earned the trust of families and businesses nationwide. Our clients consistently rate us among the highest for claims service and overall satisfaction, reflecting our deep commitment to delivering on our promises when it matters most.
Chubb’s goal is to provide accurate, transparent information about our business practices and leadership within the insurance industry. This site shares facts and context to equip stakeholders and policymakers with verified information, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to protecting American families, businesses, and communities.
Who’s Behind These Attacks?
The latest campaign against Chubb comes from Consumers’ Research—an organization acting as a dark money political front, not a credible watchdog.
Their game is to manufacture outrage and discredit respected companies in the financial and insurance sectors for their own profit and political agenda.
Consumers’ Research thrives on out-of-context headlines and distorted materials, never offering Chubb or other targets a chance to respond. Their entire operation is funded by undisclosed donors and run by seasoned political operatives with an ulterior motive: to benefit financially and politically by undermining legitimate businesses on a rotating list of hot-button issues.
Get the facts below. This is what Consumers’ Research doesn’t want you, or anyone else, to see.
CLAIM:
“Chubb is using their market power to push a woke, political agenda on the American people.”
THE FACTS:
When something goes wrong—a wildfire, a break-in, or a flood—Chubb is there. Our clients trust us to help them recover because we respond fast, show empathy, and get results when it matters most. From main streets to manufacturing floors, Chubb professionals support small businesses, homeowners, and families with proven claims expertise.
Lately, these commitments have come under attack from Consumers’ Research—a dark-money political organization known for recycling manufactured outrage. Their playbook is simple: cherry-pick headlines, distort facts, and seek profit by dragging companies into controversy. Consumers’ Research never asked for Chubb’s side; they’re not interested in truth, just clicks and headlines.
Our priority is getting insurance right. We assess risk, price it accurately, and pay legitimate claims. We’re “results-focused and maniacally execution-oriented,” as CEO Evan Greenberg puts it. Advancement is earned through hard work and performance—not politics. After 233 years, disciplined underwriting and superior service are what keep us in business.
Climate activists have personally attacked our CEO and tried to disrupt our business because we keep insuring oil and gas companies. We said no to their pressure – just like we’re saying no to these political attacks.
Our record speaks for itself: We insure President Trump’s legal cases, cover oil companies, manufacturers, construction firms, and American farmers as a leading agricultural insurer—regardless of politics. We’ve taken heat from climate activists for continuing to insure energy companies, but our focus never shifts.
Simple answer: We make decisions based on protecting our clients—period. Not politics.

CLAIM:
“Chubb is a ‘woke’ workplace that prioritizes politics over performance.”
THE FACTS:
You don’t get promoted here by having the right opinions – you get promoted by delivering results.
Our culture rewards people who can “identify opportunities, find solutions, and deliver results.” Period. We promote based on what you accomplish, not what you believe. If performance didn’t matter, we wouldn’t be the world’s largest publicly traded P&C insurer.
Look at our leadership team – executives “patiently groomed over a long period” who “earned their appointments through demonstration of results.” We’re running a business that’s survived 233 years by promoting people who can actually do the job.

CLAIM:
“Chubb Condemns American First Policies”
THE FACTS:
We ARE America First – we insure more American businesses than any other company.
We’re a leading commercial insurer and a leading agricultural insurer in the United States. We protect more American farms, American factories, and American jobs than our competitors. We have operations in all 50 states and bet our entire business on American success every single day.
With over 16,000 employees across North America and operations in all 50 states, Chubb is woven into the fabric of American business. We’re here every day protecting local jobs, homes, and farms—because supporting our communities is what drives us, not politics.
The real question: Why is this dark money political front attacking the company that protects more American businesses than anyone else?

CLAIM:
“Chubb CEO Evan Greenberg has Deep Ties To Chinese Communist Party“
THE FACTS:
Greenberg publicly calls China “authoritarian” with “predatory practices” – hardly CCP talking points.
Our CEO has described China as “a revisionist and revanchist power pursuing large-scale military expansion” and criticized its “authoritarian approach.” He’s told American businesses to “vigorously defend U.S. strategic interests” when dealing with China.
The group attacking Chubb has launched identical campaigns against multiple other American companies—never once contacting us for our response. Their claims ignore Greenberg’s actual record and statements.
The critics targeting Greenberg apparently never read his actual speeches. Yes, Chubb does business in China—so do hundreds of other American companies. We sell American insurance products and services, compete with China’s state-owned enterprises, and bring profits back home instead of shipping jobs overseas.
Robert O’Brien, former National Security Advisor to President Donald Trump, pushed back directly: “I’ve worked with Evan Greenberg for several years now on American relations with China. In my dealings with Evan, he has been a proponent of U.S. interests in the region. Through its operations in China, his company has contributed to shrinking the U.S. trade deficit.”

CLAIM:
“Chubb puts China’s interests ahead of America’s”
THE FACTS:
We protect more American small businesses and manufacturers than almost anyone in the industry. Chubb provides insurance for tens of thousands of shops, factories, and local enterprises in every state—helping them recover from fires, floods, supply chain disruptions, and other real-world risks.
We’re also a leading agricultural insurer, protecting more American farms than almost any other company. In 2024, we covered 369,393 farm operations across 298 million acres.
Our reach spans from Main Street storefronts to major manufacturers. By backing the businesses that create jobs and drive opportunity, we help keep the American economy running strong in communities nationwide.
Our record speaks for itself: We’re a leading insurer for American business, dedicated to supporting growth, recovery, and resilience across the country.

CLAIM:
“Chubb cozies Up to China Over the American People”
THE FACTS:
We’ve been protecting Americans since 1792 – that’s 31 years before China even had railroads.
Sixty percent of our $62 billion in premiums comes from North America. We’re America’s largest commercial insurer, based in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, employing 43,000 people worldwide. We operate in all 50 states and have been here longer than 47 of them have been states.
The math is simple: If we were pro-China, why would we bet our entire business on American success? Our CEO Evan Greenberg has made this clear, saying, “I am long the United States, and I wouldn’t easily bet against it.”
